Vaporeon in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Moveset & How to Get
Vaporeon is the bulky-Water Eeveelution in Pokemon Champions, built around an enormous 130 HP and the Water Absorb ability that turns enemy Water moves into free healing. It trades speed and offense for longevity, making it a sturdy supportive presence rather than a sweeper. This guide covers its stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.
Base Stats
That 130 HP is the highest of any Eeveelution and the core of Vaporeon's identity, backed by a respectable 110 Special Attack. Its 60/95 defenses are average, but the huge HP pool makes its effective bulk much better than it looks, and Water Absorb removes a whole offensive type from threatening it.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Water Absorb — heals Vaporeon instead of damaging it when hit by a Water move; a strong defensive ability and a great answer to rain teams or partner spread Water moves.
- Hydration — cures status in rain.
Best Moveset
Bulky support / attacker
- Scald — Water STAB with a burn chance, ideal for a defensive set.
- Ice Beam — coverage for Grass and Dragon types.
- Helping Hand or Icy Wind — support and speed control.
- Protect or Calm Mind — safety, or a bulky-setup angle.
It also has Flip Turn (pivot), Haze, Yawn and Muddy Water (spread).
Suggested SP Spread
With the SP system, Vaporeon wants HP and a defense with a bulky Stat Alignment, leaning on its massive HP and Water Absorb to wall and support. A more offensive Calm Mind set can invest in Special Attack instead. Tune it in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Vaporeon is a defensive water and support pivot. Water Absorb lets it switch into Water attacks (including a partner's spread Surf) for free healing, while Scald, Helping Hand and Icy Wind keep it useful even when it is not attacking. It is slow and not especially threatening offensively, so it earns its slot through bulk, longevity and the matchups Water Absorb steals.
Evolution Line
Eevee → Vaporeon (using a Water Stone). Vaporeon does not Mega Evolve.
