Vanilluxe in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Snow Warning & How to Get

Vanilluxe is the format's most accessible automatic snow setter in Pokemon Champions. The Snow Warning ability summons hail-free snow the moment it enters, boosting the Defense of Ice-types and enabling perfect-accuracy Blizzard, while a solid 110 Special Attack lets it pull double duty as an attacker rather than a pure support piece. This guide covers Vanilluxe's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Vanilluxe has a well-rounded special profile: 110 Special Attack backed by 71 HP and even 85/95 defenses. The 79 Speed is middling — fast enough to outpace bulky setters but slow against the format's offense — so most builds lean on the snow it sets rather than raw Speed.

Abilities

  • Snow Warning — summons snow on entry for five turns. This is the build-around: snow boosts the Defense of Ice-types by 50%, makes Vanilluxe's own Blizzard 100% accurate, and powers up Weather Ball into an Ice move. It also enables Slush Rush partners like Beartic.
  • Ice Body — heals a sixteenth of HP each turn in snow; pairs naturally with its own weather but adds nothing offensively.
  • Weak Armor — drops Defense but sharply raises Speed when hit by a physical move. A risky offensive option that can flip Vanilluxe's Speed problem after a hit.

Best Moveset

Vanilluxe's movepool is small but focused. For Regulation M-A doubles the standout set is built around its own snow:

Snow setter / special attacker

  • Blizzard — a 110-power spread move that hits both opponents and is perfectly accurate under Vanilluxe's snow.
  • Freeze-Dry — single-target Ice STAB that also hits Water-types super-effectively, a rare and valuable trait.
  • Flash Cannon — Steel coverage for opposing Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-types.
  • Protect — doubles staple to stall, scout, and bank snow turns.

Supportive tools round out its kit: Icy Wind drops both opponents' Speed and supports a Trick Room or slow team, Hyper Voice gives a second spread option, Weather Ball becomes a free 100-power Ice move under its snow, and Taunt, Light Screen, and Iron Defense add utility.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Vanilluxe wants Special Attack to push Blizzard and Freeze-Dry, plus enough HP and Special Defense to survive long enough to set snow more than once. A Stat Alignment that boosts Special Attack or bulk while lowering Attack fits the special set cleanly. Dial in the final Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Vanilluxe's niche is snow support that doesn't sit dead weight on the field. As one of the few automatic snow setters, it turns on weather-dependent partners — Slush Rush Beartic, Ice Body recovery, snow-boosted Aurora Veil — the moment it leads, then immediately contributes with spread Blizzard and the unusual Freeze-Dry, which threatens the Water/Ground and Water/Flying cores that normally laugh at Ice. Icy Wind gives it a way to control Speed for slower partners. It is fragile and predictable, so it works best as a dedicated weather engine rather than a standalone threat, but on a built-around snow team it is one of the most reliable enablers available.

Evolution Line

Vanillite → Vanillish (Level 35) → Vanilluxe (Level 47). Vanilluxe does not Mega Evolve.
