Snorlax in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Moveset & How to Get

Snorlax is the quintessential bulky attacker in Pokemon Champions: a colossal 160 HP, strong 110 Attack and 110 Special Defense, and a dead-slow 30 Speed that makes it an ideal Trick Room sweeper. With Thick Fat it also walls Fire and Ice attacks. This guide covers its stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.

Base Stats

That 160 HP is among the highest in the game and, combined with 110 Special Defense, makes Snorlax a phenomenal special wall — especially with Thick Fat halving Fire and Ice damage. Its 30 Speed is a weakness in normal play but a strength under Trick Room.

Type Matchups

Weak to: Fighting
Immune to: Ghost
As a pure Normal type, Snorlax has only one weakness — Fighting — and is immune to Ghost. With the Thick Fat ability it also takes half damage from Fire and Ice, making it extremely hard to wear down on the special side.

Abilities

  • Thick Fat — halves incoming Fire and Ice damage, turning Snorlax into a near-unbreakable special wall.
  • Immunity — cannot be poisoned.
  • Gluttony — uses a held Berry earlier.

Best Moveset

Trick Room attacker / Assault Vest wall

  • Body Slam or Double-Edge — Normal STAB (Body Slam can paralyse).
  • Earthquake or High Horsepower — coverage.
  • Crunch / Fire Punch / Ice Punch — coverage for specific threats.
  • Protect or an Assault Vest set with extra attacks.

It can also run Yawn, Recycle and Belly Drum for a setup angle.

Suggested SP Spread

With the SP system, a Trick Room Snorlax wants Attack and bulk with a slow, Speed-lowering Stat Alignment. A wall build leans into HP and Special Defense, often with an Assault Vest. Tune it in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Snorlax does two jobs superbly: it is a slow, hard-hitting Trick Room attacker, and a Thick Fat special wall that shrugs off Fire and Ice. Its enormous HP lets it stay on the field through sustained pressure, and it pairs naturally with Trick Room setters who let its 110 Attack swing first. A staple of bulky and Trick Room teams.

Evolution Line

Munchlax → Snorlax (level up with high friendship). Snorlax does not Mega Evolve.
