Scovillain in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Mega & How to Get

Scovillain is a spicy mixed attacker in Pokemon Champions with the unusual Grass/Fire typing and equal 108 Attack and Special Attack. Its Champions-original Mega Evolution pushes both offenses to 138 and shores up its bulk, while Chlorophyll makes the base form a fast sun attacker. This guide covers both forms, plus stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread, its role, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Scovillain is a pure offensive Pokemon with matching 108 Attack and Special Attack, letting it run mixed sets, but its 65 across HP, Defense and Special Defense make it fragile. The 75 Speed is unremarkable on its own — which is why Chlorophyll and sun are so valuable. Mega Scovillain raises both attacking stats to a huge 138 and bumps its defenses to 85 each, turning a glassy attacker into a genuine offensive threat with a little more staying power, though it keeps the same 75 Speed.

Abilities

  • Chlorophyll (Scovillain) — doubles Speed in harsh sunlight. The build-around ability: under sun, Scovillain flips its mediocre Speed and outruns most of the field.
  • Insomnia (Scovillain) — prevents sleep, a useful immunity against sleep-inducing leads.
  • Moody (Scovillain) — at the end of each turn sharply raises one random stat and lowers another; high-variance and rarely worth it competitively.
  • Spicy Spray (Mega Scovillain) — the form's exclusive Champions-original signature ability.

On the base form Chlorophyll is the pick for a sun build, with Insomnia as a safer general-purpose option.

Best Moveset

Scovillain's movepool is shallow but its dual STAB hits a lot of the field. It works best as a fast sun attacker or as the powerful Mega:

Chlorophyll sun attacker

  • Fire Blast or Flamethrower — Fire STAB, boosted further under the sun it relies on.
  • Energy Ball or Leaf Storm — Grass STAB; Leaf Storm for a one-off nuke, Energy Ball for repeatable damage.
  • Grassy Glide — priority Grass STAB under Grassy Terrain, valuable for picking off faster threats.
  • Protect — a doubles staple for safety while sun or terrain is set up.

For a physical or mixed lean, Crunch and Zen Headbutt add coverage, while Giga Drain offers Grass STAB with healing, Will-O-Wisp and Helping Hand bring utility, and Tera Blast and Substitute are flexible options.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Scovillain wants its attacking stats high — split between Attack and Special Attack for a mixed set, or focus one for the Mega's enormous 138 — with the rest in Speed so the Chlorophyll doubling, or a Tailwind, lands it ahead of the field. Use an offensive Stat Alignment that boosts an attacking stat or Speed. Tune the exact spread in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Scovillain is a high-risk, high-reward offensive piece. Its Grass/Fire dual STAB is excellent coverage that few Pokemon resist, and its even mixed attacking stats let it pick the side an opponent is weaker on. The catch is fragility — 65 across its defenses means it can't take much, so it leans on sun and Chlorophyll to move first, on Grassy Glide priority, or on speed control like Tailwind. Mega Scovillain answers part of that problem, hitting much harder while gaining enough bulk to survive a stray hit, making it a scary win condition on sun or terrain teams that can keep it safe long enough to fire.

Evolution Line

Capsakid → Scovillain (using a Fire Stone). Scovillain Mega Evolves into its Champions-original Mega form, keeping its Grass/Fire typing.
