Scizor in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get

Scizor is one of the most dependable physical attackers in Pokemon Champions, built around Technician and a STAB Bullet Punch that punches through the format. Mega Scizor keeps that same Technician engine while gaining huge bulk, turning a fast pivot into a near-unkillable Swords Dance threat. This guide covers Scizor's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Base Scizor has a strong 130 Attack backed by 70/100/80 bulk, but only 65 Speed. Mega Scizor pushes Attack to 150 and Defense to a wall-like 140 (with 70/140/100 bulk overall), while Speed rises only to 75 — so neither form is fast. Both rely on Technician-boosted priority rather than outrunning the field.

Abilities

  • Swarm (Scizor) — powers up Bug moves when HP is low. Passive and rarely the build-around.
  • Technician (Scizor & Mega Scizor) — boosts moves of 60 base power or less by 50%, turning Bullet Punch and Bug Bite into far stronger hits. This is the defining ability for both forms.
  • Light Metal (Scizor) — halves its weight, reducing damage from weight-based moves like Heat Crash. Niche.

Best Moveset

Scizor's strength is the Technician-boosted priority package. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Technician priority attacker

  • Bullet Punch — Technician-boosted Steel priority; the reason to run Scizor at all, snagging KOs through Tailwind and Trick Room.
  • Swords Dance — doubles Attack so Bullet Punch threatens the whole team.
  • Close Combat or Superpower — Fighting coverage for Steel- and Rock-types that wall its STAB.
  • Protect — doubles staple to scout, stall weather, and set up safely.

Utility pivot

  • U-turn — Technician-boosted pivot move to keep momentum and bring in a partner.
  • Knock Off — removes items and chips bulky targets.
  • Tailwind or Defog — speed control or hazard removal for the team.

Other tools in its learnset include Iron Head, Bug Buzz, Air Slash, Roost, Helping Hand, Vacuum Wave, and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Scizor wants to lean into its strengths:

  • Mega sweeper: max Attack, then dump the rest into HP for a bulkier Swords Dance setup, with an Attack-boosting Stat Alignment.
  • Bulky pivot: split investment between HP and Defense so Mega Scizor's 140 Defense walls physical hits while still threatening Bullet Punch.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Scizor's competitive identity is priority. In a format full of speed control, a STAB, Technician-boosted Bullet Punch lets it ignore Tailwind and Trick Room entirely, picking off weakened threats and revenge-killing setup sweepers regardless of the speed tier. Mega Scizor extends that into a slow, durable win condition: 140 Defense plus Swords Dance means it can survive a hit, double its Attack, and start clicking priority that the whole opposing team fears. Its Steel typing also gives it valuable resistances to Fairy, Ice, and Dragon, making it a clean answer to many of the format's special attackers and a tidy partner for frailer offensive cores.

Evolution Line
