Sableye in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get

Sableye is a disruptive Dark/Ghost support Pokemon in Pokemon Champions with only a single weakness (Fairy), plus immunities to Normal, Fighting and Psychic, and the Prankster ability for priority status. Its Mega Evolution gains Magic Bounce and heavy defensive stats, becoming a frustrating wall that reflects hazards and status straight back. This guide covers Sableye's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Sableye's base stats are modest (380 BST) with even 75 defenses and a low 50 HP, but its real value is utility, not raw numbers. Mega Sableye reallocates into a wall: 125 Defense and 115 Special Defense make it genuinely hard to break, though its Speed drops to a glacial 20.

Abilities

  • Prankster (Sableye) — gives +1 priority to status moves like Will-O-Wisp, Taunt and Thunder Wave, letting Sableye disrupt before the opponent can act. This is the build-around ability for the base form.
  • Keen Eye (Sableye) — prevents accuracy drops.
  • Stall (Sableye) — forces Sableye to move last; rarely used.
  • Magic Bounce (Mega Sableye) — reflects status moves, hazards and stat-lowering moves back at the user, shutting down Taunt, Will-O-Wisp, redirection-breaking status and entry hazards.

Best Moveset

Sableye is a support piece first. Note that Mega Sableye loses Prankster for Magic Bounce, so its status moves are no longer priority — the two forms play differently.

Prankster disruptor (base)

  • Will-O-Wisp — priority burn to cripple physical attackers.
  • Taunt — priority shutdown of setup, Trick Room and screens.
  • Fake Out — flinch support to buy a turn for the team.
  • Knock Off — STAB that removes items while chipping damage.

Mega Magic Bounce wall

  • Recover — reliable recovery to outlast attackers.
  • Foul Play — uses the target's own Attack, great on a low-offense wall.
  • Calm Mind — turns the bulky Mega into a slow win condition.
  • Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse — STAB to actually threaten damage.

Other tools include Encore, Disable, Helping Hand, Sucker Punch, Snarl, Light Screen, Reflect, Thunder Wave and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mega Sableye wants HP and split defensive investment to maximise its walling, with a defense-boosting Stat Alignment that dumps its unneeded Speed. The base Prankster set cares less about stats and more about getting status off, so HP plus enough bulk to survive is plenty. Tune the final numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Sableye is one of the format's purest disruption pieces. As a Dark/Ghost it has just one weakness (Fairy) and is immune to Normal, Fighting and Psychic, so it sits on the field freely; Prankster gives it priority Will-O-Wisp, Taunt and Thunder Wave to neuter physical attackers, setup sweepers and Trick Room leads before they can move. Fake Out adds doubles tempo control. The Mega trades Prankster for Magic Bounce, turning it into a defensive anchor that hard-counters status-and-hazard teams by reflecting everything they throw — Taunt, burns, redirection-breaking moves and entry hazards all bounce back. Pick the base form for proactive disruption or the Mega as a near-unkillable wall and stalling win condition.

Evolution Line

Sableye does not evolve. It Mega Evolves by holding Sablenite.
