Reuniclus in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Trick Room & How to Get

Reuniclus is a slow, bulky special attacker in Pokemon Champions built to abuse Trick Room. With 125 Special Attack, 110 HP and a glacial 30 Speed, it hits hard and outpaces almost nothing — exactly what a Trick Room core wants. The Magic Guard ability keeps it healthy by blocking all indirect damage. This guide covers Reuniclus's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Reuniclus pairs a huge 125 Special Attack with 110 HP and respectable 75/85 defenses, giving it real staying power for an offensive Psychic-type. The 30 base Speed looks like a liability in normal play, but under Trick Room it becomes a strength — Reuniclus moves before most of the field while still hitting like a wallbreaker.

Abilities

  • Magic Guard — blocks all damage that isn't a direct attack: no chip from burn, poison, Stealth Rock, weather, Leech Seed, or Life Orb recoil. This is the headline ability and the reason Reuniclus can hold a Life Orb cost-free or sit safely behind status.
  • Overcoat — immunity to weather chip, powder moves, and Spore. Niche, since Magic Guard already covers weather.
  • Regenerator — restores a third of its HP on switch-out, turning Reuniclus into a tireless pivot if you prefer longevity over Life Orb pressure.

Best Moveset

Reuniclus is a textbook Trick Room special attacker. The standout sets for Regulation M-A doubles are:

Trick Room wallbreaker

  • Trick Room — set the room and immediately become the fastest thing on the field.
  • Psychic or Psyshock — primary STAB; Psyshock punishes special walls by hitting Defense.
  • Shadow Ball — coverage for opposing Psychic- and Ghost-types.
  • Focus Blast or Energy Ball — rounds out coverage on Dark and bulky Water/Ground answers.

Calm Mind sweeper

  • Calm Mind — stacked under Trick Room or behind a Substitute, it snowballs fast with Magic Guard keeping Reuniclus topped up.
  • Stored Power — scales with every boost and becomes terrifying after a couple of Calm Minds.
  • Substitute + Recover — Magic Guard means a Sub never costs you to chip, and Recover undoes direct damage.

Other useful tools include Protect, Helping Hand, Encore, Thunder Wave, Knock Off, the elemental punches (Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch), and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Reuniclus rarely needs Speed — Trick Room handles that. Pour points into Special Attack and HP, then take a Stat Alignment that boosts Special Attack or a defense while lowering the irrelevant Speed stat. A bulkier Calm Mind build can lean HP and Special Defense instead. Tune the exact Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Reuniclus is one of the cleanest Trick Room attackers in the format. Its 30 Speed is a feature, not a flaw: once the room is up it moves first against nearly everything while threatening 125 Special Attack STAB. Magic Guard is what separates it from other slow breakers — it shrugs off burn, sand, hail, and Life Orb recoil, so it never gets worn down passively and can pressure stall teams that rely on chip damage. It fits naturally on Trick Room cores alongside other slow, bulky hitters, and the Calm Mind + Stored Power line gives it a genuine win condition if it gets a free turn behind redirection or a Substitute.

Evolution Line

Solosis → Duosion (Level 32) → Reuniclus (Level 41). Reuniclus does not Mega Evolve.
