Base Pinsir has a hefty 125 Attack and 100 Defense. Mega Pinsir climbs to 155 Attack and 120 Defense with 105 Speed — and Aerilate gives it a powerful, spammable Flying STAB out of its Normal moves.

• Return or Double-Edge — Aerilate-boosted Flying STAB, the main attack.
• Quick Attack — becomes Flying priority under Aerilate.
• Close Combat or Earthquake — coverage.
• Swords Dance or Protect — set up a sweep, or play safe.

It also has Knock Off, Stone Edge, X-Scissor and Bulk Up.

Suggested SP Spread

With the SP system, Mega Pinsir wants Attack and Speed with an offensive Stat Alignment; a Swords Dance turn then makes its Aerilate STAB overwhelming. Tune it in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Mega Pinsir is a setup physical sweeper. Behind Tailwind or a free turn it clicks Swords Dance and then cleans with boosted Aerilate Flying STAB, with Quick Attack mopping up faster threats. Its 4× Rock weakness and reliance on setup mean it wants support to come in safely, but once it does, few walls survive a boosted Return. It fits aggressive Tailwind and redirection teams.

Pinsir does not evolve. It Mega Evolves by holding Pinsirite.
