Pidgeot in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Mega, Moveset & How to Get
Pidgeot is an unassuming early-game bird that becomes genuinely scary as a Mega in Pokemon Champions. Mega Pidgeot gains No Guard, which makes its 110-power Hurricane hit with 100% accuracy — a rare, reliable spread-adjacent nuke backed by 135 Special Attack and 121 Speed. This guide covers its stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.
Base Stats
Base Pidgeot already has a useful 101 Speed; the Mega bumps Special Attack from 70 to 135 and Speed to 121, turning it from filler into a fast, hard-hitting special attacker.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pidgeot | 83 | 80 | 75 | 70 | 70 | 101 | 479 |
| Mega Pidgeot | 83 | 80 | 80 | 135 | 80 | 121 | 579 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Keen Eye / Tangled Feet / Big Pecks (Pidgeot) — minor utility abilities on the base form.
- No Guard (Mega Pidgeot) — every move used by or against it lands. In practice this means a 100%-accurate Hurricane, removing the move's biggest drawback and giving Pidgeot a dependable STAB nuke.
Best Moveset
No Guard special attacker
- Hurricane — 100% accurate under No Guard; the centrepiece, with a confusion chance.
- Heat Wave — spread coverage that hits both opponents and threatens Steels.
- Tailwind — set it turn one to give your whole team speed control.
- Protect or U-turn — staple or pivot.
It can also run Air Slash, Defog and Roost for longevity.
Suggested SP Spread
With the SP system, Mega Pidgeot wants Special Attack and Speed with an offensive Stat Alignment. Because its job is to fire off Hurricane and set Tailwind, a small amount of bulk to survive priority is the only concession worth making. Tune it in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Mega Pidgeot is a fast special attacker and Tailwind setter rolled into one. The 100%-accurate Hurricane is unusually reliable for a high-power move, and Heat Wave lets it pressure both opponents. Leading Pidgeot to set Tailwind and immediately threaten damage suits offensive teams, and its Ground immunity makes it a clean answer to Earthquake-based cores.
Evolution Line
Pidgey → Pidgeotto (Level 18) → Pidgeot (Level 36). Pidgeot Mega Evolves by holding Pidgeotite.
