Mamoswine in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Mamoswine is a bruising Ice/Ground physical attacker in Pokemon Champions, swinging a 130 Attack off 110 HP and gaining priority through Ice Shard. With Thick Fat it shores up its Fire and Ice weaknesses and becomes far harder to revenge. This guide covers Mamoswine's stats, type matchups, best moveset, an SP spread, its doubles role, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Mamoswine hits hard with 130 Attack and is surprisingly chunky thanks to 110 HP, though its 80 Defense and 60 Special Defense are only average. The 80 Speed is middling, which is exactly why Ice Shard priority and the Thick Fat ability matter so much — they let Mamoswine pick off faster, frailer threats and survive the Fire and Ice hits that would otherwise revenge-kill it.

Type Matchups

Resists: Poison
Immune to: Electric

Abilities

  • Thick Fat — halves incoming Fire and Ice damage. This is the standout ability: it cancels Mamoswine's own 2x Fire weakness and turns Ice into a non-issue, making it dramatically harder to KO.
  • Oblivious — immunity to infatuation and Taunt; situational.
  • Snow Cloak — raises evasion in snow; a niche pick on a dedicated snow team.

Best Moveset

Mamoswine is a straightforward physical wallbreaker with elite priority. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Physical attacker

  • Icicle Crash-class Ice STAB via Ice Beam isn't physical — instead lean on Ice priority and Ground:
  • Ice Shard — priority Ice STAB to revenge-kill Dragons, Flying-types and weakened threats.
  • Earthquake — spread Ground STAB for big damage (watch your partner) — or High Horsepower for a single target.
  • Protect — doubles staple for scouting and safety.

Coverage

  • Icicle Spear-style power via Blizzard on a snow team, though Mamoswine prefers physical Ice.
  • Stone Edge or Rock Slide — hit Flying- and Fire-types that resist Ground.
  • Knock Off — remove items and pressure Psychic/Ghost switch-ins.

It also carries Stealth Rock, Superpower, Icy Wind for spread speed control, and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mamoswine wants Attack plus enough HP to make Thick Fat and its 110 HP count, with an Attack- or bulk-boosting Stat Alignment. Some Speed helps it threaten before Ice Shard is needed. Tune the numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Mamoswine is a wallbreaker that doubles as a priority-based revenge killer. Its 130 Attack and spread Earthquake apply real pressure, while Ice Shard ignores the Speed tier entirely to chip or finish off Dragon-, Flying-, Grass- and Ground-types — a hugely valuable trait against the format's many priority-vulnerable threats. Thick Fat is the glue: by removing the usual Fire and Ice answers to an Ice/Ground type, it lets Mamoswine trade much more favourably than its raw bulk suggests. It does fold to Water, Grass, Fighting and Steel coverage, so it leans on teammates to cover those.

Evolution Line

Swinub → Piloswine (Level 33) → Mamoswine (level up while knowing the move Ancient Power). Mamoswine does not Mega Evolve.
