Leafeon in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get
Leafeon is the physical Grass-type Eeveelution in Pokemon Champions, pairing a wall-like 130 Defense with a respectable 110 Attack and 95 Speed. Chlorophyll turns it into a genuine sun sweeper, doubling that Speed to outrun nearly the whole field. This guide covers Leafeon's stats, type matchups, best moveset, an SP spread, its doubles role, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Leafeon's defining numbers are 130 Defense and 110 Attack, an unusual physically bulky-but-offensive profile for an Eeveelution. Its Special Attack and Special Defense both sit at 60–65, so it is purely a physical Pokemon and dislikes special hits. The 95 base Speed is good on its own and excellent under sun, where Chlorophyll doubles it past almost everything.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leafeon | 65 | 110 | 130 | 60 | 65 | 95 | 525 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Chlorophyll — doubles Speed in harsh sunlight. This is the build-around ability: on a sun team Leafeon outspeeds the format and clicks Swords Dance or attacks first.
- Leaf Guard — prevents status conditions while sun is up. Useful insurance against burn or paralysis on a dedicated sun team, but Chlorophyll is almost always the pick.
Best Moveset
Leafeon is a physical attacker first, so its sets revolve around Grass STAB plus setup. For Regulation M-A doubles:
Sun sweeper (Chlorophyll)
- Swords Dance — the key setup move; +2 Attack under sun makes Leafeon hit extremely hard.
- Grassy Glide — priority Grass STAB under Grassy Terrain, letting Leafeon strike first even outside sun.
- Knock Off — removes items and chunks Psychic and Ghost types that wall Grass.
- Protect — scout and stall while a partner sets up sun or terrain.
Coverage
- Leaf Blade-style Grass STAB via Energy Ball or Giga Drain for chip recovery (if running a mixed look).
- Synthesis — strong recovery under sun.
- Tera Blast — coverage to cover the Fire and Flying types that resist Grass.
It also has access to Leaf Storm, Leech Seed, Helping Hand and Calm Mind for niche sets.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Leafeon wants Attack and Speed for a sun-sweep build, with a Speed- or Attack-boosting Stat Alignment. Its 130 Defense is already high enough that bulk investment is optional. Dial in your final numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Leafeon is a fast physical sweeper that lives and dies by sun. With Chlorophyll active, its 95 Speed effectively becomes 190, outpacing the format and letting it set up a Swords Dance and clean up with boosted attacks. Off a sun team it is far less threatening, but Grassy Glide priority gives it a fallback way to pick off weakened targets first. Pair it with a sun setter and a Grassy Terrain user to get the most out of both its speed control and its priority, and keep it away from the Fire-, Flying-, Ice- and Bug-type coverage that exploits its Grass typing.
Evolution Line
Eevee → Leafeon (using a Leaf Stone). Leafeon does not Mega Evolve.
