Krookodile in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get
Krookodile is a fast, hard-hitting Ground/Dark attacker in Pokemon Champions that doubles as a turn-one disruption pivot thanks to Intimidate. With 92 Speed and 117 Attack, it can either soften the opposing offense the moment it switches in or, with Moxie, snowball out of control after a knockout. This guide covers Krookodile's stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Krookodile has a well-rounded offensive profile: 117 Attack, 92 Speed and a usable 95 HP / 80 Defense bulk that lets it stick around as a pivot. The Speed tier is the key number — fast enough to outpace much of the meta but not the very top, so a little SP investment goes a long way toward securing key matchups.

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Intimidate — lowers both opponents' Attack by one stage on switch-in. In doubles this is premier support, blunting physical offense the instant Krookodile enters; the most popular competitive pick.
- Moxie — raises Attack by one stage after scoring a KO. On a fast attacker this turns Krookodile into a snowball threat that can sweep once it gets rolling.
- Anger Point — maxes Attack when hit by a critical hit; situational and rarely used.
Best Moveset
Krookodile's dual STAB is excellent neutral coverage, and its movepool gives it real flexibility. Standout options for Regulation M-A doubles:
Intimidate pivot
- Earthquake — spread Ground STAB; hugely powerful in doubles (mind your own partner).
- Knock Off — Dark STAB that strips items and dents Ghosts and Psychics.
- Rock Slide — spread coverage with a flinch chance for extra disruption.
- Protect — survive a focus turn and let Intimidate value accrue.
Moxie snowballer
- Earthquake + Crunch — reliable single-target STAB to bank Moxie boosts.
- Close Combat or Superpower — coverage for Steel and Normal walls.
- Throat Chop — punishes sound moves and adds coverage.
Other notable tools include Stealth Rock, Taunt, Snarl (spread Special Attack drop), Foul Play, Scorching Sands, High Horsepower, Stone Edge and Tera Blast.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Krookodile usually wants to maximise its Speed and Attack to land Intimidate and then out-pace and KO. A Speed- or Attack-boosting Stat Alignment suits both the pivot and Moxie builds; a bulkier pivot can instead pour points into HP to take more advantage of Intimidate. Dial it in with the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Krookodile fills two distinct slots. As an Intimidate pivot it is one of the cleaner physical-defense answers in the format, switching in to halve the opposing damage output, then threatening immediate offense with spread Earthquake and Rock Slide so it is never passive. As a Moxie snowballer it becomes a genuine win condition: its dual STAB hits most of the field neutrally, and a single KO under Moxie can cascade into a sweep. Either way its speed control and disruption (Taunt, Snarl, Knock Off) make it a flexible glue Pokemon. Its main caution is the shared Ground weaknesses with grounded partners and a vulnerability to Fairy and Fighting, so it pairs best with teammates that cover those.
