Heliolisk in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Heliolisk is a glass-cannon special attacker in Pokemon Champions, pairing matching 109 Special Attack and 109 Speed with the rare Electric/Normal typing. Dry Skin gives it a Water immunity and healing in rain, while Solar Power turns sun into a damage bonus. This guide covers Heliolisk's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Heliolisk is built around two excellent numbers: 109 Special Attack and 109 Speed, fast enough to outrun most of the unboosted field. Everything else is fragile — 62 HP with 52/94 defenses — so it lives or dies by hitting first. The Electric/Normal typing means only one weakness (Fighting) but no helpful resistances on the special side.

Type Matchups

Weak to: Fighting Ground
Resists: Electric Flying Steel
Immune to: Ghost

Abilities

  • Dry Skin — immunity to Water moves (it heals instead), plus HP recovery each turn in rain. The downside is extra Fire damage and chip in sun, so pair it with the right weather.
  • Solar Power — boosts Special Attack by 50% in harsh sunlight, at the cost of HP each turn. On a sun team Heliolisk becomes a genuine nuke.
  • Sand Veil — raises evasion in a sandstorm; niche and unreliable, rarely the pick.

Best Moveset

Heliolisk's job is fast, hard special damage with a pivot button. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Fast special pivot

  • Thunderbolt — reliable Electric STAB; Thunder if you run a rain team to pair with Dry Skin.
  • Hyper Voice — Normal STAB that hits both opposing Pokemon, ideal in doubles.
  • Volt Switch — STAB pivot move; deal damage and bring in a teammate safely.
  • Protect — doubles staple for scouting and surviving a turn.

Coverage options

  • Weather Ball — a 100-power Fire move under sun (great with Solar Power), or Water in rain.
  • Focus Blast or Dark Pulse — coverage for Ground and Ghost/Psychic switch-ins.
  • Surf — spread Water damage and answers to its own Fire weakness on rain teams.

Other tools include Thunder Wave, Discharge, Light Screen, Substitute, and the elemental punches (Thunder Punch, Fire Punch) if you ever go physical.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Heliolisk wants maximum Special Attack and Speed with a Speed- or SpA-boosting Stat Alignment; you can lower Attack or Defense since it almost never uses physical moves. Plug your numbers into the team builder to confirm the Level 50 spread.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Heliolisk is a fast, fragile special attacker that thrives as a Volt Switch pivot and weather abuser. On a sun team Solar Power pushes its Special Attack into nuke range, and Weather Ball becomes a Fire option that punishes the Grass- and Steel-types that wall Electric STAB. On rain it heals through Dry Skin and spams Thunder. Either way it wants speed control and redirection support to make its frail body last — it folds to almost any hit, so the goal is to fire off Hyper Voice and Volt Switch before it ever takes one.

Evolution Line

Helioptile → Heliolisk (use a Sun Stone). Heliolisk does not Mega Evolve.
