Golurk in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get
Golurk is a slow, hard-hitting Ground/Ghost colossus in Pokemon Champions. Its 124 Attack and dead-average 55 Speed make it a natural Trick Room hammer, and its Mega Evolution pushes the Attack and bulk into genuinely scary territory while gaining the spread-friendly Unseen Fist ability. This guide covers Golurk's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Golurk pairs a big 124 Attack with serviceable 89/80/80 bulk and a slow 55 Speed that flips into an advantage under Trick Room. Mega Golurk climbs to 159 Attack with 105 Defense and 105 Special Defense, turning a mid-bulk attacker into a bulky breaker that can take a hit and answer with a huge STAB Earthquake or Poltergeist.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Iron Fist (Golurk) — boosts punching moves by 20%, powering up Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch and Power-Up Punch. The default competitive pick.
- No Guard (Golurk) — every move from and against Golurk lands, letting it click shaky-accuracy options like Stone Edge or Focus Blast with no risk.
- Klutz (Golurk) — disables its held item; niche only.
- Unseen Fist (Mega Golurk) — contact moves hit through Protect, which is enormous in doubles where Protect is everywhere. Earthquake stays blocked by Protect, but Close Combat, Drain Punch and the elemental punches all break through.
Best Moveset
Golurk's coverage is wide and built for doubles. The standout sets:
Trick Room breaker (Mega Golurk)
- Earthquake — spread Ground STAB; under Trick Room a slow Golurk fires first.
- Poltergeist or Shadow Ball — Ghost STAB; Poltergeist hits hardest against item-holders.
- Drain Punch — Unseen-Fist coverage that ignores Protect and heals back chip damage.
- Ice Punch — punishes the Dragon, Flying and Grass types that resist Ground.
Bulky support / single-target
- High Horsepower — single-target Ground STAB that spares your partner from Earthquake.
- Stealth Rock — chip support, though it matters less in the team-preview format.
- Protect — doubles staple for stalling Trick Room turns and scouting.
Other tools in its learnset include Close Combat, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Earth Power and Tera Blast.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Golurk wants Attack and bulk rather than Speed, since it usually attacks under Trick Room. Max Attack, dump the rest into HP, and run a defensive Stat Alignment that lowers Speed (helping under Trick Room) while leaving its 124/159 Attack untouched. Tune the exact numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Golurk is a Trick Room finisher. Its 55 Speed is a liability in normal turn order but ideal once the room is up, and Mega Golurk's 159 Attack off STAB Earthquake threatens to two-shot most of the field. Unseen Fist is the reason to Mega: in a format defined by Protect, contact moves that ignore it remove the usual answer to a slow attacker. Pair it with a Trick Room setter and redirection, and it cleans through bulky balance cores that would normally stall a Ground-type out. The base form with Iron Fist still works as a budget physical attacker, but the Mega's bulk and Protect-piercing make it the headline build.
Evolution Line
