Glalie in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get

Glalie is a perfectly average Ice-type in Pokemon Champions — every stat sits at 80 — but its Mega Evolution is the reason to bring it. Mega Glalie's Refrigerate turns Normal moves into boosted Ice attacks, giving it spammable, ground-immune-piercing spread damage. This guide covers Glalie's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Base Glalie is a textbook 80-across-the-board stat line — flexible but unspectacular. Mega Glalie jumps to 120 Attack, 120 Special Attack and 100 Speed, becoming a genuine mixed offensive threat while keeping its 80/80/80 bulk. The lack of a defensive boost means it hits hard but does not want to take return fire.

Abilities

  • Inner Focus (Glalie) — prevents flinching, useful against Fake Out leads in doubles.
  • Ice Body (Glalie) — heals in hail/snow; situational without a snow setter.
  • Moody (Glalie) — randomly sharply boosts one stat and lowers another each turn; a high-variance option.
  • Refrigerate (Mega Glalie) — turns Normal-type moves into Ice-type and boosts their power. This is the build-around: it gives Glalie powerful STAB spread off normally-typed moves and lets it ignore Ghost immunities that block Normal coverage.

Best Moveset

Mega Glalie's whole identity is Refrigerate-boosted Normal moves backed by real Ice STAB and coverage.

Mega Refrigerate attacker

  • Hyper Voice — with Refrigerate this becomes a boosted Ice-type spread move that hits both opponents; Glalie's bread and butter in doubles.
  • Ice Beam or Blizzard — true Ice STAB; Blizzard pairs with snow for a guaranteed spread hit.
  • Earthquake — spread Ground coverage for the Steels and Fires that resist Ice.
  • Protect — to Mega Evolve safely and stall in doubles.

Utility variant

  • Freeze-Dry — hits Water-types super-effectively, a great Ice tech move.
  • Spikes — entry hazard support off the base form.
  • Ice Shard — priority to finish weakened, faster threats.

Other tools include Crunch, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Iron Head, Icy Wind, Helping Hand, Taunt and Weather Ball.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mega Glalie wants to invest in its offenses and enough Speed to make its 100 base count, with an offensive Stat Alignment. A mixed spread leans into whichever side your moveset favors — Hyper Voice + Ice Beam goes special. Set the Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Mega Glalie is a Refrigerate spread attacker. Hyper Voice becomes a boosted, Ghost-piercing Ice move that hits both opposing Pokemon, which is exactly the kind of consistent chip-plus-coverage doubles teams want. Its 100 Speed lets it move before a large slice of the field, and Earthquake rounds out the coverage Ice lacks. The catch is its flat 80/80/80 bulk — Mega Glalie has no defensive cushion, so it functions best behind Tailwind, redirection, or screens that let it click spread moves before taking hits. It is a clean, aggressive offensive Mega rather than a pivot.

Evolution Line

Snorunt → Glalie (Level 42). Glalie Mega Evolves while holding Glalitite, gaining the Refrigerate ability and a large offensive boost.

How to Get Glalie in Pokemon Champions

  • Evolve Snorunt — raise Snorunt to Level 42 to get Glalie (a female Snorunt can instead evolve into Froslass with a Dawn Stone).
  • Roster Ranch recruitment — available during the Regulation M-A season (around April–June 2026); permanently recruitable with Teammate Tickets.
  • Transfer via Pokemon HOME — move a Glalie from another title into Pokemon Champions.
