Froslass in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get
Froslass is a fast, frail Ice/Ghost special attacker in Pokemon Champions that trades durability for speed, spread chip and disruption. Its Mega Evolution swaps Snow Cloak for Snow Warning, instantly turning it into a self-sufficient snow lead with a monstrous 140 Special Attack. This guide covers Froslass's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Base Froslass is a glassy 70/70/70 defensive shell hung on 80 Special Attack and a quick 110 Speed. Mega Froslass keeps that 70 HP but jumps to 140 Special Attack, 100 Special Defense and 120 Speed — a genuine fast special nuke that finally has the firepower to back up its speed. The fragile physical Defense means both forms still fold to almost any super-effective physical hit.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Froslass | 70 | 80 | 70 | 80 | 70 | 110 | 480 |
| Mega Froslass | 70 | 80 | 70 | 140 | 100 | 120 | 580 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Snow Cloak (Froslass) — raises evasion in snow/hail. Niche and luck-based; rarely the reason to run base Froslass.
- Cursed Body (Froslass) — 30% chance to disable a move that hits Froslass, occasionally shutting off a key attack.
- Snow Warning (Mega Froslass) — summons snow on entry, chipping nothing but powering up Aurora Veil and snow-synergy partners while Froslass attacks. This is the build-around for the Mega.
Best Moveset
Mega snow lead
- Blizzard — never-miss spread Ice STAB once Snow Warning is up; the Mega's main button in doubles.
- Shadow Ball — Ghost STAB and the reliable single-target follow-up.
- Aurora Veil — dual screen set in one move thanks to its own snow; huge defensive value for the team.
- Protect — doubles staple for scouting and stalling.
Base disruptor
- Icy Wind — spread Speed control, ideal for enabling slower partners.
- Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave — burn or paralyse a threat.
- Taunt + Spikes — shut down setup and chip switch-ins.
Other tools in its kit include Ice Beam, Ice Shard (priority), Poltergeist, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Helping Hand and Tera Blast.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mega Froslass wants Special Attack and enough Speed to stay ahead of the field, with a Speed- or SpA-boosting Stat Alignment; the HP investment never makes it bulky, so lean fully offensive. Plug your numbers into the team builder to confirm your speed tier at Level 50.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Froslass is a hyper-offensive support attacker. The Mega's value is that it brings its own weather, so a single slot delivers Snow Warning, Aurora Veil and never-miss Blizzard spread damage — turning what is normally a multi-Pokemon snow package into one card. The base form is a faster, frailer alternative that leans on Icy Wind speed control, status and Spikes rather than raw power. Either way it dies to physical priority and most super-effective hits, so it wants redirection or a Protect-heavy partner to fire off its disruption safely.
Evolution Line
