Dedenne in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get
Dedenne is a fast little support pivot in Pokemon Champions with 101 Speed and the well-rounded Electric/Fairy typing — only one weakness, to Ground. Its stats are modest, so it earns its place through utility: Volt Switch, redirection-style support, and the useful Cheek Pouch ability. This guide covers Dedenne's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Dedenne is frail and low-statted across the board — 67 HP, 57/67 defenses, 81 Special Attack — so it will never trade damage. The one standout is 101 Speed, fast enough to move before most of the field and use that speed for support. Electric/Fairy is the saving grace defensively: a single weakness (Ground) plus immunities and resistances that let it pivot in on a range of attacks.

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Cheek Pouch — when Dedenne eats any Berry it restores extra HP, squeezing more longevity out of a Sitrus Berry or pinch Berry. The most useful of its three abilities.
- Plus — raises Special Attack when an ally also has Plus or Minus; a niche double-battle synergy ability.
- Pickup — picks up items out of battle; no competitive relevance.
Best Moveset
Dedenne is a support pivot, not an attacker — lean into utility. For Regulation M-A doubles:
Support pivot
- Volt Switch — STAB pivot move; chip damage while bringing in a teammate on your terms.
- Helping Hand — boost a partner's attack; cheap, high-value support from a fast Pokemon.
- Thunder Wave — spread paralysis for team-wide speed control.
- Protect — doubles staple to survive double-targeting on its frail body.
Offense / extras
- Thunderbolt / Discharge — Electric STAB; Discharge is a spread option that can paralyse.
- Dazzling Gleam — Fairy STAB spread move hitting both opponents.
- Play Rough — a physical Fairy option, or Light Screen for screen support.
It also has U-turn, Substitute and Tera Blast for flexibility.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Dedenne wants HP and Speed to make its support reliable, with an HP- or Speed-boosting Stat Alignment; spreading the rest into bulk helps it survive long enough to throw out Helping Hand and Thunder Wave. Confirm the Level 50 spread in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Dedenne is a glue support pivot rather than a threat. Its value is the combination of 101 Speed and clean Electric/Fairy defensive typing — only Ground hurts it — which lets it reliably get off Helping Hand, Thunder Wave, and Volt Switch before slower Pokemon move. Cheek Pouch keeps it alive a little longer behind a Berry. It will never break anything itself, so it belongs on teams that want fast, low-cost utility: enabling a heavy hitter with Helping Hand, controlling speed with Thunder Wave, and pivoting out to keep momentum. Frail and weak, it succeeds entirely through tempo and support, not damage.
Evolution Line
Dedenne does not evolve and does not Mega Evolve — it stands alone as a single-stage Pokemon.
