Crabominable in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Mega & How to Get

Crabominable is a heavy-hitting Fighting/Ice bruiser in Pokemon Champions with a brutal 132 Attack and Iron Fist to back up its punching moves. In Champions it also gains a brand-new Mega Crabominable, which keeps Iron Fist but balloons its Attack and bulk into a genuine Trick Room wrecking ball. This guide covers both forms, plus stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.

Base Stats

Base Crabominable is a slow, powerful physical attacker: 132 Attack and a chunky 97 HP, dragged down by a poor 43 Speed and shaky 77/67 defenses. Mega Crabominable fixes almost everything but the Speed — Attack leaps to 157, Defense to 122 and Special Defense to 107, turning it into a bulky offensive monster. The Mega's Speed actually drops to 33, which is no downside on the Trick Room teams it wants to live on.

Abilities

  • Iron Fist (both forms, and Mega Crabominable's only ability) — boosts punching moves by 20%. Ice Punch, Drain Punch, Thunder Punch, Power-Up Punch and Close Combat-adjacent fists all get stronger, making this Crabominable's defining trait.
  • Hyper Cutter (Crabominable) — prevents Attack drops, useful against Intimidate-heavy doubles.
  • Anger Point (Crabominable) — maxes Attack when struck by a critical hit; a high-variance niche.

Best Moveset

Iron Fist Mega bruiser (Trick Room)

  • Close Combat — its hardest-hitting Fighting STAB.
  • Ice Punch — Iron Fist-boosted Ice STAB that doubles as coverage for Dragons and Flyers.
  • Drain Punch — Iron Fist-boosted Fighting STAB with recovery to keep the bulky Mega alive.
  • Thunder Punch — Iron Fist coverage for Water and Flying threats.
  • Protect — essential while a partner sets Trick Room.

Base attacker

  • Bulk Up — boost Attack and Defense before mega-or-not it swings.
  • Earthquake or Stone Edge — Ground/Rock coverage.
  • Knock Off — item removal and Ghost/Psychic coverage.
  • Liquidation / Gunk Shot — extra coverage options.

Other tools include Superpower, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Icy Wind (speed control), Helping Hand, Iron Defense and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mega Crabominable wants to lean into what it already does best: max Attack, then spread the rest into HP for a Trick Room tank, with a defensive or Attack-boosting Stat Alignment that lowers the Speed it doesn't want anyway. Tune the final Level 50 numbers in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Crabominable is a Trick Room hammer. Its 43 base Speed (33 as a Mega) is a liability in normal play but an asset under Trick Room, where it moves first and clicks Iron Fist-boosted Ice Punch and Drain Punch off a Mega Attack stat of 157. The Mega's leap to 122/107 defenses means it no longer folds to the chip damage that punished the frail base form, so it can take a hit and keep swinging while Drain Punch tops it off. The Fighting/Ice combination gives excellent neutral coverage — few things resist both — but it leans hard on a Trick Room setter to function, since outside the room nearly everything outspeeds it.

Evolution Line

Crabrawler → Crabominable (level up at a cold/icy location). Crabominable Mega Evolves in Champions with its Mega Stone, becoming Mega Crabominable while keeping its Fighting/Ice typing.
