• Sheer Force — raises the power of moves that have secondary effects by 30% and removes that effect. With Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch and Thunder Punch, it is a clean, consistent damage boost and the most common competitive pick.
• Iron Fist — powers up punching moves by 20%; a reasonable alternative if you lean entirely on its punch coverage.

• Knock Off — removes items and dents Ghosts and Psychics that wall Fighting STAB.
• Protect — doubles staple to stall a Trick Room or Tailwind turn and survive double-targeting.

Guts wallbreaker

• Close Combat — maximum-power STAB for when you do not need the burn-proof healing.
• Fire Punch / Thunder Punch — coverage that turns on Iron Fist or Sheer Force.
• Mach Punch-style priority is absent, so lean on Bulk Up or Substitute for setup if not running Trick Room.

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Conkeldurr wants to weaponise its Attack and survivability rather than chase Speed. Dump points into Attack and HP, then use a slow, Attack-boosting Stat Alignment (lower Speed even further to win the Trick Room mirror). Tune the exact Level 50 numbers in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Conkeldurr is a premier Trick Room attacker. Once the room is up, its 45 Speed flips into first-mover advantage, and 140 Attack out of a 105/95 bulk profile means it can break walls and trade with offense in the same turn. Sheer Force Drain Punch gives it self-sustain that most Trick Room hitters lack, so it does not fold to chip damage, while Knock Off pressures the Ghost- and Psychic-types that otherwise blank Fighting. It pairs naturally with a Trick Room setter (a slow Psychic-type or Cofagrigus) and with redirection or Fake Out support to guarantee its first hit lands. Outside Trick Room it functions as a bulky Guts breaker, but its lack of priority means it is happiest with the room running.
