Ceruledge in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get
Ceruledge is the physical counterpart to Armarouge in Pokemon Champions, a hard-hitting Fire/Ghost attacker with 125 Attack and a strong support set of priority and setup. Bitter Blade, Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak give it offense, self-healing and a priority finisher all in one Pokemon. This guide covers Ceruledge's stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread, its competitive role, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Ceruledge hits hard and isn't fragile: 125 Attack drives its offense while 80 Defense and a notable 100 Special Defense let it take special hits well. With 75 HP and 85 Speed it sits in a middle Speed tier — fast enough to threaten slower bulky mons, but it often leans on Swords Dance or Shadow Sneak's priority to close games rather than out-speeding the field outright.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ceruledge | 75 | 125 | 80 | 60 | 100 | 85 | 525 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Flash Fire — Ceruledge takes no damage from Fire-type moves and powers up its own Fire attacks when hit by one. Useful for safely switching in against Fire moves for a free boost.
- Weak Armor — when hit by a physical move, Defense drops one stage but Speed rises one stage. A risky momentum ability that can turn Ceruledge into a faster sweeper, but it trades away bulk.
Flash Fire is the safer default; Weak Armor is a niche pick for a fast offensive build that doesn't mind the Defense drops.
Best Moveset
Ceruledge is a physical attacker that wants to set up and clean. Its core set combines STAB, recovery and priority:
Swords Dance sweeper
- Bitter Blade — its signature Fire STAB; it heals Ceruledge for half the damage dealt, giving the set staying power.
- Poltergeist or Shadow Sneak — Ghost STAB; Poltergeist for raw power, Shadow Sneak for priority to pick off weakened or faster threats.
- Swords Dance — doubles Attack and turns Ceruledge into a sweeper.
- Protect — a doubles staple for setting up safely behind a partner.
Coverage and utility options include Close Combat and Iron Head for super-effective coverage, Flare Blitz as a high-power physical Fire move, Bulk Up as an alternate boost, plus Will-O-Wisp, Taunt, Quick Guard and Helping Hand for support.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Ceruledge's sweeper build wants Attack maxed and Speed invested so it outruns more of the field after a Swords Dance, with the remainder in HP for survivability. Use a Stat Alignment that boosts Attack or Speed while lowering its unused Special Attack. Dial in the exact numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Ceruledge is a self-sufficient physical sweeper. Bitter Blade's built-in healing means it doesn't wilt after a few turns the way most setup attackers do, and Shadow Sneak gives it a priority move to break through faster opponents or finish off chipped targets — a big deal in doubles where one extra KO often wins the turn. Swords Dance behind a Protect or a redirection partner lets it snowball quickly. It appreciates teammates that remove its Water, Ground and Rock answers, and its strong Special Defense lets it switch into special attackers and set up in their face.
Evolution Line
Charcadet → Ceruledge (using the Malicious Armor). Armarouge is the alternate evolution, reached with the Auspicious Armor. Ceruledge does not Mega Evolve.
