Beedrill in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Mega, Moveset & How to Get
Beedrill is a glass-cannon Bug/Poison type that lives and dies by its Mega Evolution. Mega Beedrill gains Adaptability and rockets to 150 Attack and 145 Speed, making it one of the fastest physical attackers and pivots in Pokemon Champions — as long as you keep it away from the hits its paper-thin defenses can't take.
Base Stats
Mega Beedrill trades its already-weak Special Attack down to 15 in exchange for 150 Attack and a blistering 145 Speed. Its defenses stay at 65/40/80, so it is purely a hit-first, fragile attacker — there is no bulk to fall back on.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beedrill | 65 | 90 | 40 | 45 | 80 | 75 | 395 |
| Mega Beedrill | 65 | 150 | 40 | 15 | 80 | 145 | 495 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Swarm (Beedrill) — boosts Bug moves at low HP.
- Sniper (Beedrill) — boosts critical-hit damage.
- Adaptability (Mega Beedrill) — turns STAB from 1.5× into 2×, so its U-turn and Poison Jab hit exceptionally hard. This is what makes the Mega a threat.
Best Moveset
Fast Adaptability pivot
- U-turn — Adaptability-boosted Bug STAB that pivots out after dealing big chip — its signature tool.
- Poison Jab — boosted Poison STAB.
- Knock Off — removes the opponent's item and hits Ghosts/Psychics.
- Protect or Swords Dance — staple, or a setup turn behind redirection.
It can also run Tailwind, Toxic Spikes, Drill Run-style coverage and Throat Chop.
Suggested SP Spread
With the SP system, Mega Beedrill wants maximum Attack and Speed with an offensive Stat Alignment. Investing in bulk is largely wasted on its 40 Defense, so build it as a pure speed-and-power pivot. Check the spread in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Mega Beedrill is a hyper-offensive pivot. Adaptability U-turn does heavy damage while letting you switch into a better matchup, and its huge Speed means it almost always moves first outside of priority and Trick Room. It thrives on aggressive teams with redirection or Fake Out support that buy it safe entries, since it cannot afford to take hits. Pair it with partners that appreciate momentum and chip damage.
Evolution Line
Weedle → Kakuna (Level 7) → Beedrill (Level 10). Beedrill Mega Evolves by holding Beedrillite.
