Beartic in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Swift Swim & How to Get

Beartic is a heavy-hitting physical Ice-type in Pokemon Champions that lives and dies by weather. A strong 130 Attack on a 95 HP frame gives it real power, but its 50 Speed is a problem — solved by Slush Rush in snow or Swift Swim in rain, either of which doubles its Speed and turns it into a genuine sweeper. This guide covers Beartic's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Beartic hits hard with 130 Attack and is surprisingly durable at 95 HP with even 80/80 defenses. The catch is 50 base Speed, which leaves it outpaced by most of the field — until a weather ability doubles it. Under snow (Slush Rush) or rain (Swift Swim), Beartic suddenly outruns the format and its 130 Attack does the rest.

Abilities

  • Slush Rush — doubles Speed in snow. This is the primary build-around: paired with a snow setter like Vanilluxe, Beartic flips its worst stat into its best and sweeps.
  • Swift Swim — doubles Speed in rain. The alternative engine; on a rain team Beartic gains Speed and Liquidation/Surf gets the rain damage boost too.
  • Snow Cloak — raises evasion in snow. Far weaker than Slush Rush; the Speed doubling is almost always the better pick.

Best Moveset

Beartic is a physical sweeper that needs weather to function. The standout set for Regulation M-A doubles is:

Weather sweeper (Slush Rush / Swift Swim)

  • Icicle Crash or Ice Punch — primary physical Ice STAB (Icicle Crash also has a flinch chance).
  • Liquidation — strong neutral coverage and a great fit on rain, where it gets the weather boost.
  • Close Combat or Superpower — coverage for the Steel- and Rock-types that wall Ice.
  • Protect — doubles staple to stall a turn while weather and partners set up.

It also carries useful tech: Aqua Jet for priority when weather isn't up, Swords Dance and Bulk Up for setup, Earthquake / Bulldoze and Stone Edge / Rock Slide for coverage, Icy Wind for spread speed control, Crunch, Play Rough, and Throat Chop.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Beartic's spread depends on its engine. Under weather, Speed is already doubled, so you can pour points into Attack and HP and pick an Attack-boosting Stat Alignment. If you want it to function even before weather is up, invest some Speed too. Dial in the final Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Beartic is a dedicated weather sweeper, and its value is entirely tied to a snow or rain core. On a snow team it is the payoff piece behind a Vanilluxe lead: Slush Rush doubles its Speed, and 130 Attack Icicle Crash plus Close Combat tears through neutral targets. On rain it does the same job with Swift Swim while gaining boosted Liquidation. The 95 HP bulk lets it survive a hit and click back, which separates it from frailer weather abusers. Outside its weather it is too slow to function, so it needs Protect, priority Aqua Jet, or reliable weather support to stay relevant — but inside its element, it is one of the hardest-hitting physical Ice-types in the format.

Evolution Line
