Arbok in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Moveset, Abilities & How to Get
Arbok is a single-stage Poison-type whose main draw in Pokemon Champions is its access to Intimidate — the format's most valuable defensive ability — paired with respectable 95 Attack and a usable disruption kit. It will not headline a team, but as a budget Intimidate user with real offensive moves it has a niche. This guide covers its stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.
Base Stats
Arbok's 60/69/79 bulk is modest, so it leans on Intimidate to cushion physical hits rather than raw defenses. Its 95 Attack and 80 Speed are enough to threaten real damage, and Coil can patch both Attack and accuracy if you want a setup angle.

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Intimidate — lowers both opponents' Attack on entry. This is the reason to use Arbok: instant, repeatable physical-damage reduction for your side.
- Shed Skin — a chance to cure status each turn.
- Unnerve — stops opponents from eating their Berries.
Best Moveset
Intimidate utility attacker
- Gunk Shot — high-power Poison STAB (or Sludge Bomb for reliability).
- Knock Off — removes items and hits Ghosts/Psychics.
- Sucker Punch — priority to pick off faster threats.
- Protect — doubles staple; or Coil to set up.
Other options include Earthquake, Crunch, Toxic Spikes, Haze and Glare-style disruption.
Suggested SP Spread
With the SP system, a simple Attack-and-Speed spread with an offensive Stat Alignment lets Arbok function as an Intimidate attacker. Alternatively, invest in bulk and lean on Intimidate plus Coil for a more defensive build. Tune it in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Arbok's value is bringing Intimidate to a budget or themed team while still contributing offense. Switching it in chips opposing physical attackers, and it can immediately threaten back with Gunk Shot or pick off weakened targets with Sucker Punch. It is outclassed by the format's premier Intimidate users for raw power and bulk, but Toxic Spikes support and a priority move give it a defined, if niche, role.
Evolution Line
Ekans → Arbok (Level 22). Arbok does not Mega Evolve.
