Altaria in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get
Altaria is a flexible bulky support Pokemon in Pokemon Champions whose Mega Evolution rewrites it from Dragon/Flying into a Dragon/Fairy powerhouse with Pixilate. The Mega turns Hyper Voice into a spread Fairy nuke, while the base form leans on Natural Cure and a wide support kit. Base Stats
Base Altaria has well-rounded 75/90/105 bulk with a modest 70 in both offensive stats and a usable 80 Speed. Mega Altaria pushes its offenses to a balanced 110 Attack and 110 Special Attack while bumping Defense to 110, turning a defensive support into a genuine mixed threat that still keeps its 80 Speed and excellent special bulk.

Type Matchups
Abilities
- Natural Cure (Altaria) — heals all status conditions on switch-out, making the base form a resilient pivot.
- Cloud Nine (Altaria) — negates all weather effects while it is on the field, a niche anti-weather tool.
- Pixilate (Mega Altaria) — turns Normal-type moves into Fairy-type and boosts their power by 20%. This is the build-around: Hyper Voice becomes a powerful spread Fairy STAB that hits both opponents.
Best Moveset
Mega Pixilate attacker
- Hyper Voice — Pixilate converts this into a 20%-boosted spread Fairy move, Mega Altaria's signature damage source in doubles.
- Dragon Dance — boosts Attack and Speed; with it, Mega Altaria sweeps with physical Fairy and Flying STAB.
- Play Rough or Body Slam (Pixilated) — physical Fairy STAB after a Dragon Dance.
- Protect — doubles staple for Mega-Evolving safely and scouting.
Bulky support
- Tailwind — doubles team Speed, a top-tier support move.
- Roost — reliable recovery to stay healthy.
- Haze or Perish Song — reset stat boosts or force switches.
- Dazzling Gleam / Moonblast — Fairy coverage; Will-O-Wisp and Defog round out the utility kit.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), an offensive Mega Altaria splits investment between Special Attack (for Hyper Voice) or Attack (for a Dragon Dance set) and enough Speed to matter, with a matching Stat Alignment. A support build instead favours HP and Special Defense. Plug it into the team builder to lock in the numbers.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Mega Altaria is a do-it-all glue Pokemon. As an attacker, Pixilate Hyper Voice gives it reliable spread damage that ignores Protect-immune positioning, and Dragon/Fairy is a fantastic defensive typing with that Dragon immunity. As support, Tailwind plus Roost and Haze let it enable faster partners and undo enemy setup. Its biggest constraint is that Mega Evolving locks the team into one Mega slot, and the Steel and Poison weaknesses on the Mega form invite common coverage, so it appreciates partners that threaten Steel-types. Few Pokemon cover this much ground from one slot.

How to Get Altaria in Pokemon Champions
- Evolve Swablu — raise Swablu to Level 35.
- Roster Ranch recruitment — available during the Regulation M-A season (around April–June 2026); permanently recruitable with Teammate Tickets.
- Transfer via Pokemon HOME — move an Altaria from another title into Pokemon Champions.
