Absol in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset, Mega & How to Get

Absol is a glass-cannon Dark-type in Pokemon Champions with one of the best base Attack stats in its tier and a Mega Evolution that turns it into a fast, hard-hitting wallbreaker with the disruptive Magic Bounce ability. This guide covers Absol's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Base Absol is built around a huge 130 Attack, but with only 65/60/60 bulk and 75 Speed it is fragile and outsped by much of the field. Mega Absol fixes the offense and tempo at once: 150 Attack, 115 Special Attack and a strong 115 Speed make it a genuine fast sweeper, though the bulk stays paper-thin, so it lives and dies by hitting first.

Abilities

  • Super Luck (Absol) — raises critical-hit ratio, pairing well with high-crit moves and a sword-and-board offensive plan.
  • Justified (Absol) — raises Attack when hit by a Dark move; situational in doubles.
  • Pressure (Absol) — drains extra PP from attackers; rarely the pick on an offensive mon.
  • Magic Bounce (Mega Absol) — reflects status moves and entry hazards back at the user, shutting down Taunt, Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp and redirection attempts before they land.

Best Moveset

Absol is a physical attacker first and foremost; Mega Absol can dip into special coverage thanks to its 115 Special Attack.

Mega physical wallbreaker

  • Knock Off — premier Dark STAB that also strips the target's item; excellent in doubles.
  • Sucker Punch — priority Dark damage to pick off faster, weakened threats.
  • Play Rough or Close Combat — coverage for the Dark-types and Steels that wall Sucker Punch.
  • Swords Dance — doubles Attack; one boost makes the 150 base Attack overwhelming.

Mixed / coverage

  • Dark Pulse + Ice Beam or Thunderbolt — special coverage off 115 Special Attack to punish physical walls.
  • Protect — to safely Mega Evolve or stall a turn behind faster partners.

Other notable tools include Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Superpower, Throat Chop, Foul Play, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp and Icy Wind.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Mega Absol wants to lean into its strengths: max Attack and as much Speed as you can spare, with an offensive Stat Alignment that boosts Attack or Speed (and dumps its useless Special Defense). A mixed set splits into Special Attack instead. Dial in the Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Mega Absol is a fast, fragile wallbreaker whose real selling point is Magic Bounce. In a format defined by status, Taunt and redirection, an attacker that bounces all of that back is a nightmare for support-heavy teams — it can deny a Trick Room setter's Taunt, throw burns back at a would-be crippler, and force opponents to commit attacks rather than utility. Offensively, Swords Dance plus Knock Off and Sucker Punch lets it muscle through neutral targets, while its frailty means it should come down after Mega Evolving behind Protect or Tailwind support, hit hard, and trade up. It is a high-risk, high-reward pick that rewards aggressive pilots.

Evolution Line

Absol does not evolve. It Mega Evolves while holding Absolite, gaining Magic Bounce and a large boost to Attack, Special Attack and Speed.
